5 best and 5 worst moments in the film “Friends”
What are the best moments with your peers and your close friends? Also, how about the worst seconds with these people? Have you ever wondered what happens if you do not have any ideal friends? It is sure that it would be so terrible if there are no friends around us. Continuing, have you have heard about the film named ‘Friends’? Here some information revealed for you. First, it is an NBC‘s long-running hit sitcom. The film shot during 10 seasons from 1994 to 2004. Especially, all ten seasons of Friends ranked within the top ten of television program with high ratings. Therefore, ‘Friends’ is one of the most beloved TV shows of all time. As below, there are the best and the worst of the film series. During the past 10 seasons, the best moments from it run rank up there with the best in the history of television.
The sitcom series brought viewers and audiences confused feelings. It started from Ross and Rachel’s tortured romance to Monica and Chandler’s elaborate deception. Those tried to hide their own fledgling relationship at the finest periods. ‘Friends’ made us smile, cry, yearn. It as well lets us get butterflies in our stomachs. After that, we might laugh so hard. We thought we might burst.
Every coin has two their sides so it doesn’t mean the show didn’t occasionally get it wrong. The epically bad reacting of Rachel and Joey in the show’s final season shows weaknesses. Ross’ proclamation “We were on a break” is long running. And plot lines involve insulting things. Joey speaks French and Rachel smokes. All of those rank among the series’ worst moments.
Still, we begin to check out our favorite five moments from the show first. As well as five scenes that seriously missed the mark after.
Let’s start with the best, shall we?
The surprise that Ross and Rachel realize they got married in Vegas.
In the Season 6 premiere, Ross and Rachel engaged by a drunken mistake. But after that Rachel does not remember. The scene, “The One After Vegas,” Ross and Rachel wake up in Sin City after a night of partying. Only do their friends know that. And their friends are people who break the news at breakfast. They announce that Ross and Rachel got drunkenly married the night before.
David Schwimmer plays the role of Ross Geller and Jennifer Aniston as Rachel Green. Both main characters play dumb so very well that no one can imagine. Their goofy ignorance and sheer shock make for Friends TV magic and more fascinating. The rest of the gang is confusing over the newlyweds. They didn’t know and had said, “I do”, and it is just gravy.
This entire episode is top notch for most of the viewers. The reason here is that it gives fans what they’d been wanting for several seasons. The film draws the alone time with Ross and Rachel. There are many romantic innuendoes between the two. With the early happy ending at the moment, finally, Ross and Rachel end up with a wedding. The happening most fans have been waiting for! However, an exception here is not quite, since the pair isn’t actually a couple during their life.
The fact a few more episodes will milk the in-name-only marriage. Ross tried to drag his feet on getting a cancellation to end this marriage. Just in his expectation, he doesn’t want to be a three-time divorcee. But what is come to come, the two ultimately make a decision in signing the divorce papers.
Chandler kisses all the ladies
If you had subscribed the sitcom, what did you consider as the best scene in the series? The story of Monica Geller and Chandler Bing is about starting dating. And it is one of the best Friends storylines of all time. Courteney Cox plays the role of Monica and Matthew Perry as Chandler. However, they decide to keep it a secret from the rest of their group. Thus, what ensues is pure comedy gold.
In the Season 5 episode “The One with All the Kissing,” maybe it leaves you questioning who he is. Do you know who kisses all the ladies? Chandler slips up and kisses Monica in front of Phoebe Buffay and Rachel. Lisa Kudrow performs a role as Phoebe. Therefore he does what anyone would do. He prefers to do something strange rather than simply confessing that they’re dating. Subsequently, he passionately kisses the other ladies there. Monica has suggested that his amorous ways of kissing must something he picked up in Europe.
Kiss scene! It must attract you so much. You ever wonder what so brilliant about this scene is. This is Chandler’s complete and utter deadpan in his acting. He doesn’t miss a beat from facial expression to corrective action. So he completely straight-faced and with no hint of humor. After that, he swoops in to surprise two of his best friends with smooches.
Providing the icing on this absurdist cake is Monica’s expression. While both Phoebe and Rachel gawk and wonder what the heck is going on, Monica acts like she doesn’t see anything. It’s totally normal. It leads the other ladies to wonder if they’re the crazy ones.
The fact shows that the scene is worth watching and commenting. DigitalSpy.com also loved this moment and ranks it 43rd out of 236 Friends episodes.
Monica tries to seduce Chandler with a knife
Some of the funniest moments on Friends don’t take place in the present. But rather, we watch them at the via flashbacks.
What do you do on Thanksgiving Day? Do you watch episode 5? The Season five episode is about “The One with All the Thanksgivings”. Monica who is same age as Ross, attempting to seduce her Ross roommate’s brother, Chandler. As a result, it goes horribly, horribly wrong. So do you expect for the next????
There are many several flashbacks in the episode, which are features. Clearly, the audiences learn that once-overweight Monica got trim and svelte strangely. It is simply she fell in love with her roommate brother. Because of a crush on Chandler, she starts to learn many relevant things. After Monica gets some tips from Rachel on how to seduce a man, she attempts to woo him. By awkwardly rubbing kitchen products all over her body, she makes him pay attention. And she does her plot, dropping a knife on his foot. Unfortunately, the knife severs one of his toes.
Getting to watch actress Courteney Cox is the best part of the scene. This is the performance with the knife. She displays some truly brilliant physical comedy. It means we dare you to watch her seductive knife-dance. Maybe it is quite dangerous but we do not lose it in a fit of laughter. Why is it the best display? Because no one has ever done a sexy dance like this before, and it would be hard to top.
Also, let’s notice and check out Chandler’s horrified face as soon as the knife slowly spirals toward his woven sandals. And it is really perfection!
Chandler proposes to Monica
Proposes? What does it look like in your mind? Successful or not! In another iconic moment in the series, Chandler proposes to Monica in a special episode. All of the nuances are together. So it is at the same time hilarious, heartbreaking, and genuinely romantic.
In the two-part Season, 6 finale is “The One with the Proposal”. Chandler and Monica almost don’t get engaged because another person just comes first. Dr. Richard Burke is Monica’s ex-boyfriend, Tom Selleck. Through a series of mishaps, he proposes to her before Chandler gets the chance.
What do things make this episode? In general, the Chandler and Monica relationship is so special. Fans have come to disappointment when it comes to Ross and Rachel’s romance scene. They seem to get nothing more than satisfied when it comes to Chandler and Monica.
While the episode starts out rocky, fans get a quick payoff thanking Chandler. Chandler ultimately proposes to Monica amid a sea of flickering candles. The result is that he receives her acceptance.
The stories in the sitcom quietly like many real-life relationships. Chandler and Monica were the couples we didn’t know much and we did not take notice. Moreover, we did not recognize we needed. Most of the people were obsessing about Ross and Rachel during the Season 5 finale. Chandler and Monica seemed to be faint. But at the end, they quietly embarked on a refreshingly sweet and simple relationship. It’s perhaps we never saw coming.
Ross and Rachel kiss
Kiss scene again. This moment would probably top most Friends’ fans favorite lists all the time. And it may well be one of the most iconic moments of television program ever.
In “The One Where Ross Finds Out” in Season 2, the chemical reaction has been slowly building between Ross and Rachel. It finally comes to a head. And after an enthusiastic quarrel, they ended up sharing a very intense first kiss.
There are many reasons why a lot of fans love this scene. First, it obviously represents the culmination of a season with various happening. It is a wide range of worth of tension and innuendo. But perhaps more importantly, happiness among them would last long. As the series presents before and fans come to realize that Ross and Rachel would trudge a long and complicated road. As well they get experiences to happily ever after. This scene comes to represent a time before they pile up all of that baggage when they were just two people in love.
It wouldn’t be long before the two broke up. And fans would then have to wait quite long for another seven seasons. For the witness, their ultimate reunion would be on in the series finale.
Joey can’t speak French
And now there are some misses. Let’s start with this piece of low-hanging fruit:
Matt LeBlanc plays the role of Joey Tribbiani in the sitcom. Throughout the series, we can say the least that he is unintelligent in his portray. But the writer takes it too far in “The One Where Joey Speaks French”. In the Season 10 episode, we see Joey needs to speak French for an audition. And after that Phoebe takes lessons together with him. But it is really fun when she asks him to repeat what he has learned. However, the phrases and the words that he pronounced do not similar. It is far different even one word what she’s saying in the least. Throughout the episode, the viewers watch it again and again. Strangely, it does not bother or get any less uncomfortable for fans to watch.
Because of his ability, Joey cannot repeat simple sounds. It is over a question of intelligence, logical in Joey’s mind. Gradually it moves into the realm of absurdity. Although the character is quirky everyone loves and respects him. It seems to be insulting to Joey when making him stoops so low for a laugh. Comparing with his friends, we know that Joey isn’t the most intelligent person. Anyway, he has gotten his life over many years. We cannot deny it is quite far, so everything comes to with him naturally. As well as he should be able to get something so simple. Moreover, it’s just not either funny or unrespected.
However, it was such a bad episode that DigitalSpy.com placed it 210th out of 236 episodes in total. They called it “super weird.”
Rachel pretends to smoke
Times go far, both things and humans have changed in different ways. It is a big way since Friends was on the air in 2004. The writer alters episode of season five, too. The title “The One Where Rachel Smokes” is the main content of this episode. Rachel gradually starts a new habit with a smoking habit to impress with her boss.
Rachel finds a new job at Ralph Lauren, she gets many difficulties in making her boss impressed. She maybe drops out of emotion; the attempt to get in with her new boss is desperate. Rachel starts smoking, which is not completely her real character. She used to declare earlier in the episode that she hates smoking. It’s hard to watch this if you a loyal fan of Rachel. Most of fans and viewers admire and love all of the friends in series for their realness. But maybe now there is nothing as much as Rachel. She’s direct and honest to tell it like it is in front of everyone. Therefore, it is difficult and hurts to see her sell herself out in this way.
Moreover, it’s hard to imagine what this plotline would be like. Clearly, now it seems to be easy to make audiences and fans laughing now. Workplace equality and health should be the top priorities. Not only we but also most of the supporters of this series wish we could just forget this episode.
Phoebe’s boyfriend shoots a bird
Who is Phoebe’s boyfriend? Here is a new appearance of character Gary. Gary in the description of Michael Rapaport is a hilarious person. He works as a police officer. When hippie Phoebe starts dating a police officer Gary, everyone predicts there’s culture shock bound. But no one could see it playing out like this yet.
After a period of knowing each other, Phoebe has moved in with Gary. We can enjoy it in “The One with the Ball” from Season 5. What happens next in theirs? No one can say before. But the short time of two is destiny for their cohabitation. Why? Because one morning while they’re lounging in bed, Gary pulls out his gun and shoots a bird. Simply it chirps out of the window near the bed.
There are many reasons why this scene is frustrating. First, Rapaport is hilarious enough as Gary to make Phoebe happy. And between them has a great chemical reaction as well as interaction. It would have been nice to see her get a storyline about the real relationship. Second, it seems like to do something for the form’s sake. There is no doubt that Rapaport had only signed a short deal on for a few episodes. Consequently, writers needed to find an early end to the relationship. In the best way, everyone expects to dignify Phoebe with a more plausible breakup than this. Last but certainly not least, it leaves you questioning whether a decent human would use a handgun with a small bird. Identically, can a dweller is at risk firing a handgun in New York City to kill a bird? Most of us hope that the answer is no.
‘We were on a break’
When we hear this phrase on a break at first, it can recall flashbacks for diehard and crazy Friends fans. It is the long time the audiences follow the series. It becomes a big part of the reason that Ross and Rachel break up for good. Also, they strung hopeful audiences along for the following seven seasons.
In Season 3, “The One Where Ross and Rachel Take a Break” is the title for the part of this sitcom. Ross and Rachel can’t help keep them calm down and they do argue. After that, she tells him that maybe they should take a break in a certain time. Because of through a series of misunderstandings, Ross thinks Rachel has changed. He is with a coworker. Finally, he ends up having a one-night stand with Chloe. Angela Featherstone plays a role as Chloe. Chloe still has another name here “The hot girl from the Xerox place”. Ross tries to her best to reconcile with Rachel on the next day, but everything seems to be imposable. Therefore she just can’t get past it.
The origin of complete and utter frustration of fans is this. Those fans had become so dedicated all their hope for Ross and Rachel. Nevertheless, the end of love is only abrupt their relationship and toss it into the trash. The breakup opens for more predictions and countless “will they or won’t they” opportunities over the following seven seasons. It caused nothing but it makes fans misery. As we waited, and waited, and waited so long for the reunion we wanted.
This episode was one of the “Most Iconic Ross and Rachel Episodes” of the series in People magazine.
Joey and Rachel go on a date
What does it make Friends impressive? Maybe the things relate kiss scene, dating among characters. If there was an exciting moment ever, it would have been the kiss scene on the first date of Joey and Rachel. Most of Friends fans all yelled at their television for this scene.
In the Season 10 episode, “The One With Ross’ Tan,” Joey and Rachel, have already shared a few kisses with each other. They make a decision to go out on their first date. After a lackluster dinner, they embrace with as much passion as a kid. The kid gets a kiss on the cheek from their grandma.
We understand that. Ten years is long for an entertainment show. Obviously, it gets some difficulties for more creations and fresh storylines. The fans always expect the return of Ross and Rachel for the past many years. Because the chemistry between pairing Rachel and Joey is zero, it was sure to engage audiences. As more frustrating their pairing get, they came after the massive tease of Rachel giving birth to Ross’ baby.
This episode is the weirdest among all of the episodes in Friends history. A “gross misfire” is a nickname for this relationship on the Daily Beast.
Fortunately, the series complete with a happy ending. It is not long after the kiss that fans can miss. Writers realized their mistakes and separated Rachel and Joey. Ross and Rachel and baby Emma eventually reunited in the series finale.
