Conflicts in the relationship between members of the band

In addition to the explosive performances, they often compete with each other in solo versions and use drums as props.

Top of the list, KISS

The kiss band recorded the departure of the original two members, Ace Frehley, and Peter Criss, in the early 80s. The last time the band members met was in the late 1990s. They didn’t meet since that brief reunion. Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley expressed their estrangement to the two former members of Kiss. They assumed that those who had left were not suitable for makeup or accompanied them during their Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction (according to a CBS interview). Not stopping there, Frehley and Criss were accused of being anti-Semitic while both of them were Jewish. The evidence presented is the memorabilia found by Frehley. Meanwhile, Criss is not sympathetic to Asians or may even consider him a racist. These two are basically related to the Nazis.

Frehley accused Paul and Gene of lying. The anti-Semitic is not true, this is caused by the jealousy that Paul and Gene gave him. Although Frehley was innocent over the years, his efforts to return to the band failed because they knew he was addicted to drugs. The good cooperation when entering the Hall of Fame couldn’t make the other members welcome him either. They even let him appear faintly in a KISS documentary (in a 2014 Vice interview).

 Blink-182

 Blink-182

The Blink-182 band is famous for the hilarious, funny trio that always creates sympathy for the audience. However, behind that aura there existed unrest among the members.

Tom DeLonge takes on the guitar playing position. In one of his Facebook notes in January 2015, there were conflicts in his relationship and Blink. There are 3 memorable milestones in DeLonge operation at Blink. That’s what he left in 2005 and decided to return four years later, in 2009. However, things were still unstable when he felt the feelings of hatred in the past still intact. An EP – DeLonge was accused by the band of having to work for 2 months to complete the work. However, Travis Barker and Mark Hoppus needed a shorter time, only about 11 days to complete their work.

He collapsed because the band ignored the EP. Then, DeLonge was asked to sign a contract, in which he pledged not to work with any other band by Barker and Hoppus. This prohibition includes Angels and Airwaves for 9 months for the publication of Blink album. The guitarist was so dissatisfied with the decision that he would rather leave the band and not sign. After that friction, his position was replaced by another.

Rolling Stone DeLonge was accused of ungrateful and disrespectful members by Barker at the same time. Baker used sharp words, questioning Delonge’s return to the band before. Was his return for a suspicious purpose?

Kings of Leon

Kings of Leon

There are a few bands that can’t stop confronting each other. Kings of Leon is not an exception. They even had to face another enemy, alcohol.

Caleb Followill is the head of Kings. However, the audience noted a lot of allegations of alcohol with this leader. By the time “Sex on Fire” dominated the charts, he had begun to get used to alcohol. He made a statement that he could only be alert in the first 30 minutes of each day. And of course, the rest of the day, he is immersed in alcohol (through The Telegraph in 2010). In July 2011, a program reported that the leader had a lot of drunkenness and negative actions. Before going backstage, vomiting and drinking a beer, he was angry on the television. Kings band members decided to cancel the tour. Brother Jared Followill called on the crowd to boycott Caleb instead of hating other band members. Caleb was indignant at the allegations; he had a flight to New York and temporarily left the band.

Caleb’s brother had a straight talk with him shortly after. The leader is recommended to quit drinking completely before returning to the band. If he refused, or somehow could not quit drinking, he would be denied the return. The successful withdrawal of alcohol later helped all members of the band launch a new album in 2013. In an interview with The Telegraph, they claimed there was no more war or conflict.

Guns N’ Roses

Guns N' Roses

Axl Rose and Slash of Guns N ‘Roses band has had a conflict due to two very different personalities and each person’s ego is too high. Their internal opacities begin in the early ’90s. Michael Jackson is said to be the cause of this feud.

Axl reported his father guilty of harassment when he was a child. Meanwhile, Axl seems to believe in rumors that Jackson is a child sexual abuser. Doug Goldstein revealed in the interview with Rolling Stone Brazil that AOL wrote in English that Axl was angry Slash agreed to play guitar on Jackson’s new song “Black or White”. This triggered a rift in their relationship. One report recorded that Guns N ‘Roses was no longer active in 1993.

However, in 2016 the band had a tour aimed at pulling members closer together. City Pages has noted that performance becomes explosive; it doesn’t matter if members don’t like each other. It is possible that they did not really get along after the booms but still had excellent performances “Paradise City” night after night, the audience did not mind.

Aerosmith

Aerosmith

Joe Perry has his own autobiography called Rocks: My Life In and Out of Aerosmith. In his work, Perry mentioned Steven Tyler’s antics that pressed and made him feel extremely frustrated. Their combination on stage created a great show except for conflicts.

The basic difference between Perry and Tyler is the purpose they join the band. While Perry wants to devote his talents because he loves music, Tyler participates because he wants to be popular and wants to be loved by many women. Perry feels so stressed that he temporarily leaves the band in the early ’80s. Tyler has worked hard to maintain his career. He does business by licensing Aerosmith songs for Guitar Hero. He also made money by doing reviews of American Idol and minimizing collaboration with Perry as well as other musicians. The New York Daily News’ review of the book noted Perry’s respect for Tyler.

Tyler also had his own autobiography named Does the Music In My Head Bother You? He also did not hesitate to criticize Perry increasingly cold to the band and became an emotionless person. These two people only play a role in maintaining the band. Regardless of how after the limelight they fought, they were responsible for developing a stronger band.

Smashing Pumpkins

Smashing Pumpkins

Smashing Pumpkins has been a conflict between members since the band started to set up. Guitarist James Iha and bassist D’arcy Wretzky started the battle and resulted in them breaking up on their first album called Gish. Billy Corgan then took on all the band positions including guitar and bass. He conducted the band’s second solo album without the help of the other two members.

Smashing Pumpkins was officially disbanded in 2000. The band was recorded a lot of changes to the previous lineup. Corgan complained that culture and tools were also the main reasons for their defeat (According to E! News). However, other bands succeeded after the fight against pop music.

Jimmy Chamberlain is a long-time drummer who has partnered with Corgan in 2015. A reunion tour without the bassist, D’arcy Wretzky was recorded in February 2018. Everyone seemed to be tired of the battle was so bad that their performances were not as expected.

Oasis

Oasis

Brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher in Oasis band are strong in all matters (via ABC in 2000). Is this appropriate when they work together in work?

Things got worse and as a result, the relationship between brothers and band members formed a boom in 2009. Liam allegedly missed the show for reasons of laryngitis. Noel has suffered enough criticism (in a press conference in 2011).

The brothers gave each other words of disillusionment. In early 1994, these two people were thought to have had conflicts and fighting each other. The Oasis implosion seems to be a consequence of two strong personalities in a band so they cannot avoid disagreements. Liam called his brother Potato on television. Without stopping there, Noel made a statement that he knew very well Liam and Liam had great fear for him. The dinners are full of family members is what Mama Oasis could never see.

Van Halen

Van Halen

Eddie and Alex Van Halen, David Lee Roth, and Michael Anthony are good candidates for Van Halen’s squad. However, the war that is going on between them will not lead to a reunion.

Eddie and Alex are not the main problems of the band, they are always in peace. Simply because they are brothers, close friends, and lovers. The cause of the conflict comes more from Roth and Eddie. Eddie complained to Billboard that Roth had a lifestyle and thought away from reality. They are 60 years old and not young people. The embarrassing expressions of Roth at the 1996 MTV Video Music Awards or dangerous acts before the camera were evidence of Eddie’s judgment. Eddie agreed so much that he didn’t want to be Roth’s friend.

Ex-bassist Michael Anthony has been accused of not being able to play bass skillfully. Anthony always needs outside help to play all the parts. Moreover, his voice is also very bad.

Simon and Garfunkel

Simon and Garfunkel

Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel tried to get along to return to the band after disbanding in 1970. But their efforts were meaningless because of their conflicting personalities. Instead of promoting the recording of their new album, Simon was supposed to have a flight to England to create his own solo album. The 12th song on Bridge Over Troubled Water created conflicts between the two members. They decided to break up later.

Garfunkel complained about Simon’s obscurity when he interviewed with Telegraph in 2015. It’s been so long since the band members haven’t performed “So Long Frank Lloyd Wright”. Simon told the BBC about the band’s ability to reunite in the past in 2010. However, hostility came more from Simon because he came up with many confusing rules. Garfunkel should have a good way for the band to not disband anymore.

The Kinks

The Kinks

Kinks is credited with having a battle between first siblings, before Oasis. After the discord, Ray and Dave Davies’s relationship may not be good again.

Dave told the Telegraph that their wars began when they were kids. The band once had great songs and performances. However, the battles were the main cause of the band’s end in 1996. At Dave’s 50th birthday, the battle culminated when Ray interrupted the party and said good things about him and then stamped on Dave’s birthday cake.

Sharing with Rolling Stone, Dave opened up about a comeback in 2010. However, the Daily Mirror asked a similar question for him four months later. The ability of this reunion has been greatly reduced. It seemed that conflict has increased in their relationship.

Journey

Journey

Steve Perry had so many problems with Journey that he decided to leave the band. A soundalike replaced Perry’s position after that and they performed a sans Perry performance at their Hall of Fame induction with Perry attending.

However, the war has come to the other members of the band, this may lead to a breakup. Schon’s record was postponed because of the eclipse in 2011. Cain was accused of sabotaging Schon. Schon then posted a status line on his Instagram that people trying to stop his career should leave.

Since marrying a pastor, Cain made religious music. Along with that, Cain’s wife said at the reception of Donald Trump made Schon feel very worried because he did not want to relate to those who were religious and political. Can the band find a keyboard player exactly like Cain if he leaves?

End of the list, Yes

End of the list, Yes

What happens if there are two Yes bands working together? However, Yes officially refused his return. Singer Jon Anderson had health problems and he had to suspend his activities in the group in 2008. Benoit David, another singer has replaced his position and the band continues to tour instead of waiting for the ordinary singer to recover.

Enraged by the decision, Anderson formed a new band and called on two other members who worked at Yes including guitarist Trevor Rabin and keyboardist Rick Wakeman. The band then named based on the initials of the members’ names, ARW. However, if the name is Yes, they will be able to have more opportunities to make money. So the band then changed to Yes. Was “Sublime With Rome” a clumsy nickname?

YWARW has clarified to the public that they have the right to name that. Yes’s original band spoke up as a co-owner of the name. But this duplication can cause mistakes for fans as well as the successes that the original version of Yes has built.
