The older sister of American country music star Kalie Shorr, Asley Rhiannon Coffman has sadly passed away at the age of 37 years old.

The country star, Kalie Shorr announced sad news to the public on Twitter on Saturday, Jan 5, 2019. This was about the deceased. Her close sister died of a heroin overdose. This was after a long time she suffered from battle with addiction at a young age.

On Twitter, she wrote: “Today I lost my sister to a really long battle with addiction “, Shorr, 24, to her 11,100 followers everywhere. It really was a disease and it was so difficult to overcome. She just couldn’t beat it during the past time. The singer-songwriter supposed that love was such the mainly important and significant elements. They help people who are similar to her sister. Kalie Shorr added that please hug your loved ones and be patient with people who are fighting their demons. She specially insisted that anger never helps but love does.

In another follow-up tweet, the singer posted “We are six days in and this has been the longest year of my life.”


As soon as the sad news broke, a number of Shorr’s fan as well music industry peers took to social media to gather around the singers and express their thoughts as well as condolences to her family. One of those, the music journalist, Coti Howell, took the tweet, “Praying for you and your family, Kalie”.

Also, he was so sorry for the loss. Whereas, a large number of other Twitter users similarly present their sympathies. That was their own personal experiences with either battling or losing their loved ones to addiction to her. “Sorry to hear this”. They shared about their real too. “I myself has battled with it. And no one can understand the games it plays on every part of our life unless you’re the victim of it”. One person wrote with alongside a heart that the best thing she hopes. That is we will see those who have it to seek the help that they need in the name of your sister’s memory.”

Shorr tweeted in response to the outpouring of love and support that all of you guys have been so amazing. She extended grateful thanks too “Thank you for your kind words”. And she still spends special thanks to those of supporters. Those have gone through similar experiences- “Thank you for sharing that with me. I am grieving but I don’t feel alone. God bless you all.”

The country star’s older sister, Coffman’s survival is that thank to her two young children. They are 9-year-old daughter Chloe and 4-year-old son Cameron. Shorr’s family has since taken care of them. The “He is just not that into you” singer had created a GoFund Me page on Monday, January 7. The aim of this activity is that to the allowance for the niece and the nephew.  The fund not only helps children but also helps apart to cover funeral costs.

Ashley Rhiannon Coffman was a sacrificed mother. According to Shorr’s first post on the fundraising sites, “Ashley was a single mother. As well as one of the hardest workers you will ever meet”. She sacrificed so much to provide for and make sure to bring up Chloe and Cammie adequately.”  She continued to say. In spite of the complex issue of addiction, these children do not need to suffer even more.  She also said clearly. Their family was not prepared available finance resource to raise two young children. However, Shorr still asserted they will all be contributing what we can. But if anyone has connected with this story and feels lead to give, we so appreciated anything.


While sharing the link on Twitter, Shorr did not forget to show deep gratitude to her supporters and peers. She wrote in part. Her family and she were so touched by the outpouring of support after the passing of her sister Ashley.” At the time of this post, the money for the fund has raised into $2,355 of the family’s $5,000 goal.

Over the weekend Shorr was on Instagram. She also took the post to pay tribute to her sister with a cover of the Fleetwood Mac song “Rhiannon”.  Shorr revealed that Coffman was the name for the tune. She captioned the musical homage with, “I don’t even know what to say and I really never thought I would end up here”. She noted the significant meaning of the song. The old Welsh story of a beautiful goddess had name Rhiannon. She was captivating, beautiful, and magical” was the name of the rock group.

The love Shorr spends on Coffman, not only a close sister but also the best friend is endless. There is still an existence commons among them even difficulties Coffman suffering. Shorr wrote that Ashley had made friends faster than anyone she has ever met. And she could find easily something in common with her sister in five seconds flat. It’s so hard when she loves someone. And, they are battling addiction for the reason that they lose so much of themselves in the process. But she was so thankful for the last conversation she had with her. She had really got to tell her how much she had loved her.

And the last words she had ever said to her were, she was so proud of her sister. She showed her deep love for a lost sister by concluding her post. She will never forget that and that’s how she will always remember her. It’s clear that love is always complete forever.

Our thoughts and feelings are with the Shorr and Coffman families. As well as those we loved, during this difficult time.
